Gerkin is a finger monkey who is effectively immortal, although he is able to die, and has the same lifespan as any other finger monkey, however, he is forced to reincarnate each time he dies due to abilities bestowed onto him by "The Master".
Gerkin was quested by The Master to live on an island in the middle of the Arabian sea guarding a "Forever Pebble", Gerkin was given specialized advanced tactical training with his knife to defeat or stop anyone who would want to steal the Pebble. He has been guarding the Pebble since near the formation of the Earth and in that time he hasn't killed anyone since the Island is in the middle of fucking nowhere and not marked on any maps.
He meets the Balds by complete chance as Bald Leon just happened to crash land on the island. He is talked into joining them to help gather the forever pebbles in an attempt to stop Violin Man. Gerkin becomes roommates with Bald Ben When Bald Ben says he can stay with him in his bedroom, but later on he lives on the street because the living conditions were so much nicer than Bald Ben's disgusting room.
