Hades, sometimes referred to as Pluto, is the ruler of the underworld and caretaker of souls. Like the Devil, Hades gains his power from claiming souls to his domain, but whereas The Devil makes deals with people in life to claim their souls, Hades makes deals with the already dead, or those on the brink of death, whether it be from injury or from being at the beginning of events which would lead to certain death.

Hades, sometimes referred to as Pluto, is the ruler of the underworld and caretaker of souls. Due to the order in which Hades and the Devil claim souls, Hades is often left with "Table scraps" when it comes to more powerful souls to be claimed. This means that the Underworld is more full than Hell, as Hades has been forced to be less exclusive with the souls he makes deals with in an effort to equal the power of his rival, utilising a quantity over quality type of reaping.

While in the Underworld, Hades is usually accompanied by his three-headed dog companion, Cerberus, The guardian of the Underworld, However Cerberus does not accompany Hades when he leaves the Underworld, as he has to guard the enterance.
