The Genie was a creature who had inspired many myths throughout the history of the earth. He was not created by some higher power, he simply appeared on the Earth one day, and like the story of many Genies of myth, he was mistreated by most of his previous masters, who simply used him for the wishes they wanted before abandoning him, keeping him trapped in his glass jar for millennia.
He believed his torment may end when he came into contact with Bald Leon, who was searching for a forever pebble. The Genie granted Bald Leon all of his ridiculous wishes and even gave him an additional wish for free in the hopes that Bald Leon would free him, but instead, Bald Leon threw away the bottle that houses the genie and was also tied to his life force, which killed the Genie
The Genie did not follow what most people believe to be how a Genie should appear, as all those myths about blue skin and no legs were created by stories told over the generations, in fact, he wore a star wars t-shirt because he liked the movies.
